Alicia Murillo is a federally authorized Enrolled Agent with nearly 40 years of experience at the IRS. During her distinguished tenure, she served in various roles, including Tax Compliance Officer, Revenue Agent, Group Manager, Analyst and Territory Manager. Today, Alicia brings the same unwavering work ethic and dedication that defined her federal service to her clients at Instrumental Tax Solutions.

Alicia possesses deep expertise in tax preparation and examinations, having worked extensively with individual, business, and flow-through entity audits/examinations. Beyond enforcing tax laws, she also contributed to drafting procedural guidance for the tax code giving her an exceptional understanding of both its letter and its spirit. Her knowledge empowers clients to avoid the often convoluted pitfalls of tax preparation, examination, and enforcement.

A true tax savant, Alicia further honed her expertise by earning a Master’s in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She also served in the IRS Special Enforcement Program and worked at IRS Headquarters.
